I feel for you man! I put my ATS flares on 2 weeks ago. Preping the fenders with sandpaper, wiping it down with MEK, applying the tape (that was fun!) .... gotta do that AGAIN? Bummer. I had my wife hold the fender up while I attached it with the screws but I didn't have to "force it in to position". You got the right flares for your truck??? You never know, mine came with the wrong hardware and they had to overnight me the right kit.
Tell your buddy that there must be a better way than those lousy "pins" for the front of the rears.
I like the fenders. I wouldn't want to install them for a livng thought!
