Bumper rust issue

My 06 Megacab SLT has lots of rust spots on the front chrome bumper. I bought the truck new and it had small spots when it was delivered. Shortly after on my first visit to the service dept. I complained, they took note, cleaned the bumber and sealed it. What do you guys think, will they change the bumper or am I wasting my time. I have about 10 months left on my bumper to bumper warranty.

i would think that bumper to bumper warranties would mean a new bumper in your future. I wouldn't settle for less.

I agree, my old Dakota I bought used and I had my bumper fixed for very minimal cost when it started to rust prematurely.... it didnt even have the bumper to bumper warranty, so I would think they would work with you...

I have the same speckles of rust on mine but have not been back to the dealer in 18 months. I guess I need to see if it is replaceable under warranty.

What's the body corrosion warranty? Something like 5 years 50K miles??? Forgot but that should be covered.

Isn't body corrosion for perforation only, thought that's what it was.

Just use some metal polishing product off the shelf. I usually hit mine 2-3 times a year with Eagle polishing cloth. If you look closely on a light colored truck, you can see the rust spots on the paint too. I have never had a truck with a chrome bumper that would be perfect after a winter. Rocks hit the bumper and nick the chrome, then the tiny rust spots start coming. If you take care of them on a regular basis, it will prevent the chrome from bubbling and becoming a real problem.
