broken tail light
broken tail light
during one of my brilliant momements,I backed "quickly" & struck my right rear tail light on my 5ers pin, causing the lens to break, this occurred in Astoria,Or.I taped it over,& now home need to order a new tail light.Where can a get one at a fair price?I have a 2007.5 dually 3500. Patrick
I bought a set of ebay a while back for my 03 model for around 70.00 bucks. I think my dealer wanted over 120.00 bucks for one light. I will try to find the ebay store and post a link for you. I like the way they look and fit and they plugged right in to my stock harness.
I've got both stock tail lights sitting in a box at home. Only problem is that my truck is an '06 . . . you'd have to swap out both of them to match each other and I don't think the wiring harnesses are an exact plug and play.

The 06 tail lights are differnt not only in apperance but in wiring. You have to buy some adptor from the dealer or wire it yourself. If your up for ether let me know I have a set of stock 06 tails in a box in the grag. I'll let you have them for 100 bucks and I would drive and meet you half way I live in Ft.Myers.
If you don't mind a little cosmetic enhancement, you can get a set of LED tails for your truck (dot stamped) for a really nice price on ebay. It will also be easier on your light wiring, less voltage. I've had some on my truck for over a yr now and they are great. Just an idea.

Try a salvage yard, they have a parts locator hotline that they can use if they don't have the part themselves. I had an '03 Neon that I used for zipping around in and hit a deer, breaking one headlight. The dealer wanted over 300 bucks for the light! I went to a salvage yard and they quoted me 120 bucks but had to "order" it. I figured it would be a used one but when I went to pick it up it was brand new in the box! It wasn't an OEM but it was an EXACT match and was dot stamped so I was happy. It's worth a shot!
Well the problem is these lights are still pretty new in the OEM replacement world, you may not be able to find them cheap right now unless you find a wrecked one or someone who has LEDs, that's why I suggested the LEDs, they're selling for $115 a PAIR on ebay.
Thanks all,is the LED plug & play to a 2007.5 3500,the price sounds good.By the way,I bought this truck 9/11/07 ,it's made 2 trips out west,7600 miles ,& this one which was 10,400,both pulling my Alfa.Averaged 10.5 to 11.8,unloaded around 16.6.Other then change oil msg. at around 3,500ish no problems.Love the auto & brake, never met a incline it did'nt like!
Price has went up a little since I last seen them, but still a good price.

This says for a Megacab, but they're the same, so if you want to just get a replacement, here ya go. The LEDs are slick though.
