I made a sad discovery today. The tail housing on my '92 auto is broken where it bolts to the transfer case. I put the floor jack under the t-case to hold the weight while I worked on the cross-member and the t-case moved independently from the transmission. Apparently this occured when my donor was becomming a donor, and I never saw it before.




So, what are my options? Where do I get another housing? Or, do I replace the whole o.d. unit? Help me out here. Thanks.

 

weld it depending on where it broke, or try http://www.alltransmission.com/ but they do not sell to the public so you need a business name, i'll call them on tuesday to price it,if you remind me, then give me your old one.

 

Theres a place in Washington, drivetrain something. Do a search on the net and you might find it. My tailhousing was busted and they got me one for $65.

 

I tried a search with no luck. Do you have any other info?
