Referring to the caliper assembly (holds the brake pads) bolts, do you use any thread locker (loc-tite or teflon tape)? Or do you just put the "ninja" on it and call it a day? What's your suggestion?

I've been servicing my brakes every 10,000 and have never used any thread locker. In fact I put a bit of anti-seize on the threads. The tapped hole for those bolts go right through, allowing road grime to get in there and potentially seize up the threads. Get 'em good and snug and call it a day. I have never had a problem.

 

Four years have past since I posted this and I want to slap myself for even mentioning thread locker. I can't tell you how many bolts on this truck I wish had been painted in anti-seize before it was assembled.
