Big 12 point bolts on caliper?

Do I have to remove these big bolts to change front brake pads on a 2002 2500 4x4 old body style? Or just remove the two small allen wrench bolts completely and pry the pads away from the rotor? don't want to mess anything up.

Just take off the 2 bolts that hold on the caliper.

You can leave the caliper mounting bracket (12 point bolts) if you are not going to remove the rotor. But on my '01, the caliper is held on with TORX bolts, NOT ALLEN, so make sure you are using the correct tool for caliper bolt removal.

Same here, on my '02, the bolts are Torx. I forgot what size.

Thanks for your help guys. I got them done with no problems. torx bit size was T40. They were diffently different than any other brake pads I've changed in the past.
