A tire that will surprise you will be the Nitto Dura Grappler. They are VERY surprising in mud, snow, and wet weather. They are also ultra quiet and smooth riding. Wear is exceptional.
Might want to look into them.
If thats not your cup of joe, I'd look at the Toyo Open Country AT.

I can't chime in on the A/T's but since you asked about the M/T's in the snow I can help there.
The M/T's are decent in the snow, mine being 12.5" wide they have a big footprint. They don't really get down and bite, they seem to float. For being a mud tire they are not all that loud. Best i've ever gotten out of a set of M/T's is 40k miles. They do shine in the mud, they even hold up well in heavy rain.
I'll be watching this thread. I 'm taking the lift off my truck and i'll be needing new tires and wheels soon. I've always been a fan of the Toyo's but i 'm hearing some good things about the Nitto's. Anyone have pictures of their A/T Toyo or Nittos mounted?

Here is a link to some pictures of my Nitto's. Been pretty happy with them so far.

I like the BFG-ATKO's.. Great in snow and fair on ice. I had Yokohama AT's on the truck and switched over to BFG's due to balance issues and found I used 4wd less to get going than with the Yokos.. Thats all the "data" I have...

I was calling around the other day pricing new tires and one salesman told me that the Toyos were getting pretty scarce because of this trade dispute with China, anybody else heard that or was he blowing smoke?

x2. I ran them in the snow alot on my DMax and they were very good. I'd buy Pro Comps over most any other tire, especially since you can get the buy 3 get one free, going on until the end of Sept again.

i have the procomp extreme at's as well, im now going with claws because i need a tread a little more geared to mud, and i got a deal, but i wouldn't hesitate to try the procomps again on a vehicle that stays on dryer ground.. pretty good tread life.. even on my heavy beast and even heavier foot.
