blower motor comes on when truck is off.

Went out to my truck yesterday afternoon and the a/c blower motor was blowing. Started the truck, just to make sure it would start since voltage was low. Shut the truck off and a few seconds later, the blower started blowing again.. No key in the ignition and truck was completely off.. Anyone have any idea's what could cause this?

I've heard of this before, I think it was a bad ignition switch, perhaps do a search on here you may find the thread.

Can the ignition switched be replaced without losing the factory key? I would hate to have carry a key for the door and a key for the new ignition switch both.

The switch is replaced, not the key mechanism. You'll be good.

you might try moving the steering wheel up and down, there have been episodes of wires chaffed between steering wheel and where they exit out of the column. it is worth a try.

That is good news as my switch has been acting up for a couple of years now. Thanks.
