Blend Door Issue, Having trouble finding the right info...
Hey,
I have a 2006 Ram 2500 Cummins, and i have concluded i have a blend door issue, after reading over the numerous search results i could only find info on how to diagnose the issue, not really much on fixing it.
I recall someone saying they cut out the unit using a soldering iron, repairing it. Which sounds reasonable, however im not toally sure where abouts i should be cutting, or if its possible to remove it from the dash without harm(preferable). I would prefer not to wreck my new truck...
As of tonight I took it back to the dealer to get the freon emptied and recharged on their behalf as the air as worked since it left their lot, And i sugested it after reading up on the forum that the truck may try to keep the driver happy with cool air if its even a bit low...
I have about a 10 degree difference between my pass. side and my driver side..
Any help would be greatly appreciated!,
Thanks guys,
AL

There was some company that offered metal doors and instructions on how to cut windows in the HVAC housing to install them...
Personally, I'd just pull the dash. Now that I've done one, it isn't that big of a deal. Just time consuming.
As noted above, though, if the only symptom is warmer on passenger side, it could very well just need more refrigerant.
