biggest tires on factory wheels
biggest tires on factory wheels
i have a 06 dodge 2500 and im doing the 2inch leveling kit. what is the biggest tire i can fit without having to lift it any higher??? if anyone knows the specs (width/size) please tell me. i needs tires real bad.. well only the back ones..lol.
35x12.50x17 will fit great with a 2inch leveling kit. I am running them on stock suspension but am soon upgrading to lorenze's kit. I think ptgarica is running 35x13 on an aftermarket rim with close to the same backspacing.

You have to remember that the stock wheel is 8". For most tire manufacturers, they will only recommend up to a 285 or 295 tire for a 8" wheel. If you want to put on 35 or 37, the tire manufacturers will recommend that safe minimum diamter to be at least 9". Since you are putting a wider tire on a smaller wheel, the sidewalls will be pulled in causing your tires to bulge. The middle of your tires will then wear faster than the edges of your tire. To get the tire to run flat, you have to run rediculously low amounts of air (20-25psi).
If you want to safe in the safe recommended ranges for your stock wheel, look for a 285 or 295. I had the BFG 315/70/17s and they DO rub at full wheel lock, and they DO not wear evenly.
