has anyone put the banks big hoss bundle on their trucks yet. From everything I have researched, I like Gale Banks and trust their equipment on their engine, I am just curious how it ahs affected people gas mileage.

Holy waste of money! They DO make quality products, don't get me wrong, but that ENTIRE bundle for our trucks makes roughly 150hp/380tq, or something to that effect...but the bundle costs in excess of $3,000! My Edge Hot Juice with Attitude puts down 160hp/350tq and I paid $750...so you tell me which you would rather buy. The intercooler LOOKS like a really cool thing to pay for, but the stock one is VERY efficient and aftermarket really isn't needed until MUCH higher HP configurations (I'm pretty sure that a couple people have done a comparo between the stocker and some aftermarket ICs and it turned out their temps only went down a few degrees, so unless it's broken why fix it?). The Edge Hot Juice with Attitude for YOUR truck since you have an '05 is 180hp/440tq...get the Edge!

 

I had the kit on my 03, do not I repeate do not buy it. Way too expensive for what you get. Call one of the vendors from this site depending on where you are located and talk to them. You can build some pretty good power for 3k. My 03 was ok, I thought it was pretty nice. Then I got my 06 and bought a $650 downloader and it would smoke my 03 with the 3K+ big hoss bundle. Im not bashing Im telling you from experience. Also the install for my downloader 5 min, the big hoss took a full day with many phone calls to customer service and alot of aggrevation.

I bought the bundle for my 05. I had the Six Gun w/ PDA for two weeks and returned it and got the Juice instead. It would not stay connected from the PDA to the Six Gun. Replaced all the PDA accesories and still had the problem. I can tell you the other working parts (CAI, Exhuast & Techni-Cooler). Works great. I would say get those working parts and a different programmer. Those parts are priced comparable to the others. If your dead set on Banks.

 

agreed and the customer service is some of the worst in the business. If you do all that the bundle gives you, IMO it'd be nice to have some backing behind it. with them !
