Bed cargo hook bolts

My trucks bed cargo hooks were missing, so I ordered 'em at the dealer. They were $9 ea., not too bad, but they wanted almost $5 ea. for the bolts! Needless to say, I didn't get the bolts there. I have a spray in bed liner which has filled the holes for the bolts, so I will need to run a tap through it. Anybody know the bolt size/thread? Thanks.

Anyone know if they are metric? I'm thinking they probably are, just trying to verify before I run a tap up through there.

its a 50/50 shoot on metric/SAE. i get fed up when i am working on the truck and removing something where half the mounting in metric and the other half is SAE. no way to tell other then cross referance the PN for the bolts for the specs. they were probably galv or G8 bolts, you are better off getting SS on your own.

Yeah Sevir, it's aggravating the way the OEMs do things sometimes. I'm just gonna try to dig the bedliner crap out of one of the holes, and start with a 5/16 or M8 bolt, go easy and see where it gets me. Either way, I think I can get all 8 bolts for the hooks, even in SS, for the price of 1-2 from the dealer. Again with the dang OEMs, sheesh!

What do the cargo hooks look like? Mine are missing too, and I need to tie down a motorcycle. I was hoping to just put an eye-bolt in there for the time being, but I doubt I'm going to find one in M8x1.25. POS.
