have a buddy here in town that has the same truck as you, he spent a TON of money chasing it. got rid of the BFG's and has never had it since.
had the same deal, had some scarry death wobble and took the bfg's off and never happened again. But I would like to get the the brace too. Don't know what would be better, brace or better steering stabilizer.

he had the BFG's on when he bought the truck. chased it for a long time, did full suspension change, steering change, defiant steering stab, changed tires to Toyo's and it is gone. he was about to sell the truck but now happy as a jay bird
I have the SSSSS by LazarSmith (XLR8R) and love it. It completely removed the bumpsteer from the truck. Now the entire truck can be bumping and jarring from rough roads or offroad use but the steering wheel doesn't move. It also has sway bar drop blocks incorporated into the brace so another thing to consider if you have a level lift on your truck. I've only had it on for about a week and a half now but, thus far, I am WAY impressed with it.

I Got mine from Performance Steering Components. The fit, finish, and hardwere makes for a pefect fit. Performance Steering Components brace at a $169.00 is expensive, but LazarSmith at $285.00 is absolutely ridiculous!!!!!

Just my ".02"
Bellow are some more economical alternatives to LazarSmith:

I like the look of the defiant model best. This unit should only be seeing shear load, so the flat plate design should be fine. If I put anything made of square tube on my truck I'd never hear the end of it from my fabricating buddies. If I made one I'd use 1 3/4" .120 wall round tube with a bend down so the bearing mount could be welded to the side of the tube. More work yes, but it would look less like the Clampets did it than square tube.
