Automatic Transmission Truck's MPGs?
Just put that Smarty Jr on my truck, since then Im gettin around 19 on the overhead (have had a chance to fill her up and recheck yet) With my truck stock I was only seeing 15, both hand calc and overhead. So Im happy
I know this may be a stupid question to all you americans-but when you are calculating your fuel mileage-I assume you are using US Gal in that equation and not imperial gal.
When I figure my milage out on my truck, I get 14.7 L/100 km.
If I convert that to US MPG-then its around 16. If I use just the IMPGAL conversion-I get somewhere in the 19MPG range.
I have noticed a tonne of people either getting 16 mpg or around 19mpg. Could this conversion simply be the difference between the two?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
There is probablly a slight advantage with a manual tranny. My auto gave me 10.8 with 35,000 pound gross and 22.1 with nothing in bed. No such thing as a normal MPG. Near 16 would be a yearly average for everything it does.
