Anyone still buying diesels??

I have had my 03 quad cab 4x4 advertised for sale now for about 3wks and have had absolutely no calls. I have it on autotrader and a few diesel truck sites. The truck is near mint, loaded, with only 50K and no inquires (asking 21K) I know diesel is expensive now, but it's gotta come down and people still need pickups and why would they buy gassers? Any other suggestions you guys have for me to sell this?

I agree,

Bad time to be selling a Diesel... I think it will just take some more time to sell, but you are asking in the ball park for the truck. If you want it to sell fast, you will have to drop the price.

From the looks of the local Dodge dealer I would say no. I can't get $7000 out of my 12 valve.

Diesel cars are hot. Buddy of mine just sold his TDI Passat and his phone rang off the hook night and day. First person he talked to bought site unseen. I think most people are scared of the price of diesel right now and they can buy a new gasser for 21k.

If I was, and I'am not, but if I was going to sell, I think I would be looking at something 17-19k. The market can kill you if you let it.

I paid $21980 for truck in signature 30 days ago, w/ 36k on odo and bumper to bumper warranty until '10.

Yes, it is a very depressed market...

Your gonna have to lower the price like it or not. I got my 06 in my sig for 27k so it sucks but for something to sell the price is going to have to come down. Hell i have been trying to sell my expedition for 2k under KBB and its still not sold.

They seem to be selling around here. Local Dodge dealer has none on his lot.

i feel your pain. A dealer ship south of houston is adverising 22,000 off any 4door dodge truck. Diesel, mega cab - doesn'tmatter. good deal for a buyer but sucks for trade in. My truck has 50,000 miles (03 dually 2wd) and the most I can get is about 11,000 on trade in. Blue book value is around 20,000 but who would pay that when they can get a newer nicer truck for just a little more??? I'm still hanging on to my truck. I moved to Houston from the country and this big dually is gettin old and I have considered selling it to get something (non-dually) else. I'll probably get a ford with a v-10. I'm still not crazy about the new diesels with poor fuel mileage and the diesel particulate filter issues.

They are a dime a dozen in my area and plentiful. We are stuck with them for a while.
