Anyone loose their reverse lights 6 spd?

I was curious if anyone had noticed their reverse lights not working with a 6spd standard and found causes for it.
I have checked the fuses, lights and looked around for something umplugged by the transmisson and found nothing obvious.

Thanks Randy

Most likely your reverse switch on the passenger side of tranny...........should still be under warranty.

Thanks for the reply. My warranty ran out a while back because of mileage. I will get back under the truck and look around in the area you mentioned.

My reverse lights went out aroung 10K. They ordered and replaced the reverse switch at the transmission. All is well now and it was covered under warranty.

My second gen lost the reverse switch on the tranny at only 15K. Replaced under warrantee (and they did the cold weather flash, too).

I haven't crawled under the truck to look, but I'm assuming (hoping!) these switches can be replaced pretty readily. I noticed my back-up lights were working only intermittently the last time I had the truck out. Since my 3/36 warranty has expired (it's a very early 2002), this one will be on my dime.

FWIW, the switch is a cheap and easy replacement from what I understand.

Dealer scheduled 30 min, but the foreman told me it took 5. I'd have done it myself, but w/o a DC diagnosis, they won't give you the part for free.
