Anyone Have A Locking Tailgate?
Anyone have a locking tailgate handle? I put on the topper today and was wondering about locking the tailgate to secure the rear cargo area and T-gate.
I saw two on Ebay, one was a remote power lock and didn't mention a key or external lock, the other was a manual lock with key that replaced the entire handle assembly.
Anyone have any experiance with these or with something with good quality that works? Thanks Jim

I had one on my 01 1500. I liked it and ordered one for my new 3500. I like the BULLY best. Poplock makes one also. Bully also makes a automatic one you wire to your remote but don't think I want it . It would unlock every time you open door locks. The number on the BULLY manual is LH007. You can look it up on Bullys website or just do a search for tailgate lock
I've got the Power Locking Tailgate and it's just Marvelous
I've got the Hard Folding Tonnuea Cover From DC and it makes so that I've got this real big trunk instead of the usuall open back.
I've used the one that replaces the handle and work ok also but then you have to have the key to lock and unlock it.
I like the power tailgate lock much bet on this truck, it locks real good and solid.

I had a Pop N'Lock. It lasted exactly one winter. The salt got into the lock tumblers and corroded them up. Good thing it was unlocked when it froze up. Can't understand why manufacturers won't use OEM quality materials. If they think it was so I'd buy another one, they're mistaken.
