Another uncomfortable seat post 07 5.9

Have a Big Horn 07 5.9 unit, Same uncomfortable seating as my 04.5 had. Got seat out today and was surprised to find a substantual piece of formed foam under the springs of the seat which had formed cutouts for he springs made in it.. This was after hearing about many finding only 1/2 inch of foam on theirs. Anyways had 2" foam and carpet handy so did it anyways. Only driven short trip so far but don't really see much difference yet. Maybe after a longer drive I can say good mod but so far no such luck. The seat was quite firm originaly but it still got to the back of legs quickly when on trips. Wish I ahd done my 04.5 to see if padding was any different.

I am wondering if the 07 seats are made a little better, anyone know for sure....

I think a lot of guys had better luck with 1"-2" foam, I dont know if 1/2" will make much of a difference....

Think you misunderstood my post. Comment was that many had found only 1/2 of foam under their original equipment seats, I put 2" foam under my seat when I did it and so far do not really see a difference is the seat comfort.

Yep, did my '07 cloth seats. 1" foam and carpet. Huge difference as soon as I sat on the finished product.

I put factory Leather buckets in my SLT and they are just as bad as the cloth seats. Anymore than two hours in the seat and my a#$ and hips hurt. I hope they do something better in 2009 when I will be needing a new ride.
