Timbrens 2wd truck
I just installed my Timbrens. They are resting ontop of my axle. In the description online it says they can be adjusted and sit 1" above the axle. I have the spacer out and i see no other way for these to be adjusted. They dont ride all that bad except when i hit a bump, I feel those pretty good now. I have the DR2500CA (rear) which are made for 2WD according to the web page. I dont have any load on the truck except a full fuel tank. Any opinions on how this can be fixed. I didnt get the air rides due to the fact they are connected all the time.

When I put mine on they had about a 1/3 in. of space between them and the axle. The only time I feel them is when I hit a big bump. 5th wheel and gooseneck adaptors make them sit closer to the axle. Contact Timbren if you have an issue they will send you out shorter ones from what I have read.

Too long
Did you get this resolved? I installed mine last night on my 2wd and I had to shimmy them into place, no room. I contacted Timbren and they said they would send me new bumpers if I did not like the ride. It rides firm until you hit a bump (teeth knock and back hurts). I will be towing my new 5th wheel this weekend so I will leave them on and see if I like them towing. If I like them towing I will have them send me shorter bumpers else they go back for air bags. I like the idea of not having to inflate them but I don't want to be riding on the axle all the time. Any thoughts? Should I ditch them for air bags?

Is there any problem if there is a little more than an inch of space? I have the shorter ones installed and I am afraid they may not make contact under a load (making them pointless). I guess I will see this weekend; first weekend out in the new camper.
