I have a 2005 dodge ram 2500 qc 4x4 speed cummins turbo diesel that I bought new and had the dealer install cab lights... Well everyone and a while on the drives side the top screw cover in the apillar grab handle will leak a little water when it rains... the dealer has looked at it and said the lights are fine and they did a tsb about where stripping... anyone else have this problem??

If you will peel back the top rubber door strip you will see several screws along the top used to secure the strip.
Coat each one with some clear RTV sealer and it will not leak again.

Man I WISH mine came out of my grab handle! Mine has a leak through the little clip that holds the viser in place and that drips like right on my leg! I am alomost positive mines from my lights though.

I bought my truck new and it had the same leak from the visor clip, the dealer could not find it. So I took out the screws for the cab lights and put just a bit of silicon on them no more leak.

This fix is for a leak at the grab handle. This area leaking is almost always from the door strip screws.

I have not had any leaks higher than that with my factory cab lights.

I had this same problem with my stock cab lights. I had a small drip at the passenger visor clip when it rained. One of my lights had a hair line crack in it that was causing the leak. I bought another set of lights out of the classifieds here and replaced the bad one. No leaks since then.
