My local parts store carries AFE intakes and are telling me that type CX intakes are better than type XP systems. This is all greek to me so i was hoping someone could shed a little light on this for me. Thanks.

 

Just basically boils down to if you want a Stage 1 or Stage 2.

Stage 2 kits have a full heat shield air box with a fully replacement intake tube, and the Stage 1 just have the open air filter.

The CX, XP, etc refer to the type of air filter, oiled or Dry.
