Advice On Rickson Wheels?

I'm very close to placing an order for the 19.5" steel wheels and either G or H rated tires. Any helpful advice or comments that anyone can share on this subject.

Rickson wheels

I have Rickson forged aluminum wheels so I can not speak to the steel wheels but I have found that Rickson is very high on their tires. I found a local dealer that sells 19.5 Hankook tires for $176 each compared to $251 at Rickson for the same tire. It might pay you to look around for your tires and just by the wheels from Rickson.

Thanks FarmerJim, any problems with the offset on the forged wheels? I was a bit worried about how far everything would be "hanging out"

I bought my Vision aluminum wheels from discount tire for $190. Also got my Michilen XDE 245/19.5s from them. All cheaper than Rickson. Like time balance and rotation.

Try to go local if you can - better service and cheaper.

I'm pretty sure they make the Goodyear G164s in a 19.5.

That's because they don't exist! Rickson and Vision are the only two making 19.5" wheels for SRW trucks. I believe there are a few more making 19.5's for duallys.

For the cost of the Rickson steel wheels you can easily get into the Vision wheels and have a better looking wheel. The best looking tires I have seen on a 19.5" are the 285 Yokohama TY/RY303's that Signature600 has on his 98.

They do look good, don't they?? Where are the pics of yours??

I'm with Nick...Vision and Rickson are the only ones making a SWR 19.5. I like the looks of the Rickson Eliminator's better, but for half the price, the Vision's look a lot better

rickson wheels

SloNDown

I am running 225X19.5 tires. The wheel sets our just over an inch further but the 225s are narrower than stock 265s so they hang out just about an inch further than the stock wheels on my 03.

that's hard to belief... 19.5 wheels are not that uncommon. some dodge 250 were rumored to come with 19.5, but they were split rims.
