I am new to the third gen world and I am thinking about buying a third gen cummins. The truck im looking at is a 03 5.9L 6sp. The truck is a quadcab shortbed. Is there anything I need to look for or need to be told about before i buy it? Thanks.

 

The auto tranny is the weak link in these trucks.

 

This has the 6sp manual trans

 

my 6 speed is strong as an ox. Glad to have it!

 

I have the NV5600 6-speed. No problems, with lots of heavy pulling. I am a fanatic about changing the oil and keeping it clean though.
