Adding 3500 Leaf to a 2500

I was curious if it is easy to add the extra support leaf from a SRW 3500 to my 2500 to give me more support. I am thinking of doing the KORE HP kit but am worried about towing afterwards. Are these leafs easy to come by? Does anyone ever take these off of there 3500 and try to sell them if they perhaps did a complete lift kit. I also may do air bags but thought this may be a cheaper alternative that couldn't hurt anything to start out with.

You would also need to weld on the spring stops or it would be a waste of time. Airbags would be a better option and they are not that much money. That's what I will do if I ever need the extra capacity..

Another easy on the wallet solution is Timbrens.

I love the airbags.. Agree, the overloads would require you to weld the spring stops to your frame. I've used the timbrens on my old plow truck and they did work fine as well. I like the adjustablility of the airbags, helps to porperly aim my headlights when I've loaded up the truck.

Thanks for the help I think I will do the airbags. If I dont get the remote control option, all the companies basically just fill up through shrader valves out the back correct? If you were to be towing a 12k gooseneck are you saying you would rather tow it with a 2500 with bags as opposed to a 3500 without bags, both being SRW? Also, what happens when I drive around completely empty if I have the KORE HP kit installed and bags, is it going to ride rough or can I lower the bags enought thats its as if they arn't there?

I know that the Firestone Airbags are set-up like that, and I have had good luck with it. I would much rather have the airbags than have the truck sitting down on the overloads because the truck sits more level with the airbags.
