AC vent problem - - any pros that can help?
The AC tech I spoke with said that the AC in these trucks is just not a great design. When everything is perfect they sort of work OK. Guess it's something to make us want to buy the new model when they change designs.
A vac was pulled and sat for 45 minutes with no change. He added dye and oil before refilling. This has been coming for a while now, so any leak has to be a small one. We will see shortly and put the light on it and look for the glow. It has been my experience (limited on auto air, more on commercial ac) that "looking" for a very slow leak can be a very slow process producing a very high bill. I like the dye and light method. We will see what happens. Thanks for the ideas. Just wanted those interested to know what had happened.

Well my wife had a long face in the pass.seat.Picked a colt up about 50 miles from home and I knew when I saw VAPOR at 10:15 this morning and 74 degrees ONLY from left vents that I had a issue. In the heat of the day later (88 degrees) the drivers vents and pass vents stayed 20 degrees differance on fresh, recir, low blower, high blower.Sometimes right side vents are 70 degrees sometimes 55 degrees this is a plus or minus in eather direction.Once while sitting at a red light d/side dropped to almost 30 and pass side was 50! But only ONCE did it do this.Like what the fubar?Basicly pass side vents stay between 58 and 72.Been going around with ac stuff since new.I leave tomorrow for about a month stay at the hospital.Guess I call Chrysler/Dodge what ever their name is and go from there.
