AC is blowing warm air vents all work fine

I pulled my recirc door out and all of my vents work fine. If I direct the air to defrost or floor or vents that is all working fine. The air is moving where I want it but is not cold. It just blows warm air only. help, it's so darn hot in my truck right now. I feel the AC lines in the engine compartment and they are ice cold. Just no cold air in the cab. This is on a 2003 2wd dually. Thanks...

Sounds like it might be a blend door issue. The blend door controls the air temp.

Yeah, you I think you lost the blend doors. They are two doors on either side of the heater core, and they direct air around or through the heater core depending upon where the **** is set.

Unfortunately repair will require discharging the AC system and draining the coolant, and removing the dash to remove and disassemble the HVAC case.

Heatertreater makes metal doors, that can be installed by cutting holes in the HVAC case while it is in place, but personally I'd just pull the dash and HVAC case.

Possibly the stop tabs that engage with the couplers between the motor and doors broke off, causing the motor to strip out the blend doors, or break one.

In the mean time you could probably get cold air by installing a manual coolant valve on one of the heater lines.

go to

new doors are made of metal, not the cheap plastic that comes from the factory. Truely a fix it and forget it . I just replaced mine a few moths ago.
