3x the Light!!!

I know Brite Box's have been discussed here, but this is the first time I've seen all the different options, explanations, and the results...

http://www.thebritebox.com/3g.ram.bb.stages.html

...and the 8,100 lumen Stage 3 option, with modifications, for the 2006's...

Sux I just bought the 9006 Silver Star Ultras off eBay. Now I need some 9005's!

Yeah, and you also got a Lamborghini and a Ferrari and a cool dog. This is an upgrade for the 'common' folk.

actually...HID kit he got was CHEAP. You can get them on ebay for $140-150. I have had the bright box before on my old truck and would rather have HID's. I had issues with my first set of bright boxes...after one side was replaced, I had the problem again> I just unhooked the thing when I traded the truck

Yes, the cost of HID is more upfront but will be less in the long run. It really is the 'common folk' upgrade of choice!

Wow, that is cheap - I was expecting over a G. Where can I find the kit?

OK. I have seen in another thread that HID kit gives you a lampout light on your dash. Something about putting a resistor in between something. Is there just a true plug and play HID kit out there.

OK now your going to make me actually do work rather then the lazy reply I gave the first time...lol Im not sure of brand name ones I know that there are obviously brand names but im unsure of what they are...lol Although I suppose what you could do would be look them up on Ebay and then take that info to do the search for them off of Ebay. I think Philips? Makes a kit for some reason that name is popping into my head for HID's

Heres one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Xenon...82734356QQrdZ1

And http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hi-Lo...80015801QQrdZ1

And http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-05...81743117QQrdZ1

As for non-ebay ones...

Hope that helped a little?

HID = High Intensity Discharge which are the blueish lights you see on more expensive cars. They are much closer to actual daylight and illuminate the road so much better than standard halogen bulbs that you will never go back.

There is no true "plug & play" kit that I know of for '06s for the simple fact that HIDs put out 3 times the light using 1/4 the power so the ECM thinks a bulb is out and cuts power. There are plug-and-play resistors available, although I cannot remember where they are. It is not difficult at all and only takes a small amount. As I stated in another thread, I will know exactly what it takes to do Bi-Xenon (both high and low beams are Xenon) headlights in the '06s on Monday or Tuesday and will post the answers ASAP.
