Unhappy 36040 Miles And Guess What??

My truck hit 36,000 miles today. I shoulda known things would start happening. Just 40 miles past 36k, my Sirius radio decides to quit. Why would it do that? It won't even go to satellite mode when I try to switch mode, it doesn't even switch to say "no signal" or anything, it goes straight to cd mode, nothing, nada. Any ideas?? Since dealers are closed today, I wonder if I can get it into the dealer Monday if they would help me, that is if they're open on Labor Day.....

I would still take it in. The dealer should still honor the warranty. Just let them know it started acting up but you could not get to the dealer because of the holiday.

Might be loose power connection to the sat receiver.

How many miles were on the truck when you bought it? 4, 40, 200? Warranty will be 36k+ existing miles.

My radio does that about every 3-4 months. It will come back on in a few hours or the next day at the longest and work great for another few months till it does it again. It has done this for 2 years now, since it was new.

Just 7 miles, lol, and now, coming home from visiting a friend last night, my headlight went out! I work nights so I always drive at night, the Silverstars lasted over 2 years, I put them in when I got the truck, and that's what I put back in. I pulled the other light that was still working and the filament on it was going dark as well so I replaced the pair.

Possibly a update being done by sirius? I don't have the stock radio in my truck but my sirius status sometimes says "Updating Subs" and will not work for quite some time. This may not be your problem but just a guess.

Unless policies have changed the factory warranty starts at 0 miles no matter what and ends at 3/36 give or take within reason.
