Truck pics FINALLY here . . .
Truck pics FINALLY here . . .
As if we needed more truck pictures here . . . well, maybe we do. Anyway, I just got the truck back a few minutes ago and wanted to post some pictures. I'll get more/better pictures later, but you get the idea. Here's what's in the pictures:
-Recon smoked LED clearance lights, tail lights and 3rd brake light
-Recon White Lightning brake light bar (hidden under tailgate - can't see in pics)
-Diamond plate bed caps and rocker panel covers
-Bushwacker flares (pocket style) painted to match
-Eagle Alloy 064s - 20" (thanks for all the input)
-Toyo Open Country MTs in 35x12.5x20
-Mostly debadged (left the 2500)
-Leveling kit
Still have a couple things left to do (head lights and grill) and then I'll be in done visually. Thanks for all the help from the forum thus far!

Took the truck tailgating in St. Louis for the MU vs IL football game yesterday and got lots of compliments on the truck. The new wheels and larger tires (plus leveling kit?) sure do give the truck a more aggressive stand and height. Noticed that the tires will rub a little at lock - so I'm trying to get used to driving with that but it doesn't seem to be a big deal, even in the tight confines of the college football tailgating.
On another note, though, I still can't understand why some people just don't like anyone else to have nice things - like idiots that key other peoples pain jobs. We were sitting behind the truck and some guy sitting next to us (also Missouri fans) kept throwing his emty bottles in the back of my truck. I asked him politely to put his trash with his tailgate and even gave him an extra trash bag. A few minutes later the same guy throws a half full beer can at my back glass . . . needless to say, I'm not big on fighting but I was ready to go. I'm glad that cooler heads prevailed but it still just mystifies me.

That suxs. Sorry to hear that.
That's why I take the ol' lady's Equinox anytime we go anywhere just because when you got a nice ride, there is always some drunk idiot just flat out being a hater
.
Glad to hear you kept your cool though.
And seriously, who throws a HALF FULL beer at someone.
That is alcohol abuse!

Hell, I wish he would have thrown it at me instead of the truck, haha. And you're right, you would think he'd know better than to waste a perfectly good beer . . . though I think it was Natural Light, so maybe he was just angry with how terrible it tasted . . .

A place called Wilmore out in AZ makes them. I removed that chrome trim on the doors so I could put a wider rocker cover on there, though they make one that fits under the chrome trim. I couldn't find these things anywhere and none of my local truck accessories had any clue where they could be found. Thanks to a DTR member, though, I pointed one of my truck accessory places in the right directions and finally got them. They are pricey, though, as they're supposedly a "custom" deal. One thing about it, you'll be the only one around with them . . .
