2nd Gen owner looking for 3rd Gen advice
2nd Gen owner looking for 3rd Gen advice
A friend of mine is looking at a super low mileage (30,000 Km) '04 2500. I'm fairly knowledgable with 2nd Gen 12 valves, but know nothing about 3rd gens. What should I be telling him to look for? What about typical problems?
Thanks
Thanks
Is it a manual tranny or auto? Four wheel or two wheel drive?
Check the normal stuff, tire wear, tranny slipping if auto, or clutch release if manual. With that low mileage the Cummins hasn't even been broke in yet. Must have been sitting awhile with that mileage.

The lift pump is the only thing I can think of and he wouldn't know if it were bad without a gauge. I guess it wouldn't run very strong. I think it would even be hard to hurt an auto or 4wd in only 30000k. Craig
