I run the Courser C/T's in LT33x12.50R17 on my 2500 and I've been very pleased with them so far.

Toyo is sending me a set of their new HT [highway tread] tires in that size. E rated.

I will post how the tires hold up asap.

Cooper makes the H/T with a 60K tread life warranty. I think they will be my next set of tires. It is an all-season tires, but that will be fine for me. I don't go off-roading.

I in no way was suggesting it as a size for his truck....I was only stating the fact that I liked the tread design (Courser C/T's) on my truck.............

Just recently put 265/70/17 Michelin's 7 of them counting the spare on mine. Put 1/4" spacer between the Duals those were $7.50 a piece. Got the tires at Wal-mart, and spacers from tire store.

What does the 265/70/17 measure from the ground to the top of the tire?

I dont want to run spacers.. Are the spacers aluminium our steel?

Where did you get 1/4" spacers? And for only 7.50 a piece? I run 285/70's and all I need is a quarter. I have 2 inchers on there now but it looks a little goofy with that much sapce between the tires...

same height as your 235/80/17's are the 265/70/17's

i did a quick search and i couldn't find any 8x6.5" spacers smaller than 1", but i did find some talk about some spacer that is used on 2nd gen front ends on the right side??? to space the wheel out to correct some steering issues???

Check out those Toyos! I have seen them and they are a beautiful tire with an agressive tread pattern which should perform well on highway also. Plus, Toyos consistently win manufacturers awards for quality and performance. I can't wait for my Michelins to wear out so I can upgrade my 265's to the 315's. The first think I would look at before buying any tire though is the Tread Wear Rating (TWR). Buy the one with the biggest number. The number is a relative thing, meaning a tire with a TWR of 400 SHOULD last twice as long as a tire with a TWR of 200.

You Said you have 2in. spacers did you have to replace your lug bolts?

I got my spacers at a tire store called Modica Brothers here in Southeast Texas for $7.50 a piece fit right over the lug bolt pattern and they are made from steel.

Nickel my tires are about a inch taller than the stock Goodyears that were on them.
