Who manufactures NV4500 and 5600 transmissions?
Yes, NV stands for New Venture gear. They are a division of New Process.
I was recently told that New Venture just closed there doors. No more will be made.
Some companies are using that as an excuse to jack up prices on rebuilds.
There are still plenty of parts available. I love my NV 5600!

They were new process gear, in the 60's right up through the late 80's, then GM and Chrysler had a "joint Venture" and the name changed to new venture gear, the last thing that my friends who work there told me was that the plant sold and will have a new name, but not closed at all. The plant is located just north of Syracuse, NY.
