I have a 2008 with infinity audio system, i wanted to install a new pioneer 1500 because stock radio has no aux port. I bought the axxess chto-013bb harness to retain stock amp. Made all connections and radio powers up and I do get sound for a sec and then it fades out. It then comes back and fades out again it continues to do this at different volumes and length of time. Does any body have a clue about this? The instructions for wiring this up were **** poor from axxess and pioneer has to instructions in the manual for the radio.i will post pics of my connections. Any help would be much appreciated getting extremely frustrated. I cannot find anything anywhere.

 

I'm not sure if the 2008s are different than the 2005s but on mine I had to buy a separate adapter such as the Axxess CHTO-02.
On my 2005 infinity system the factory deck sent a digital signal to the amp which I assume then processes it and sends it out to the speakers. So there were not any speaker wires actually connected to the deck, which is why a harness would not work.
I installed a Pioneer 2500

The other option would be to bypass the amp by running new wires from the new deck to the speakers

 

I have 2004.5 that also had the Nav/Infinity System since the Nav System didn't come with the disc I went and replaced it with a Kenwood BT848-u from Crutchfield and they supplied all the cross over harness needed. Did have to purchase another pc to have the steering wheel controls to work. The best part from purchasing from Crutchfield is the Tech help is Top Notch and very little wait time if any and its for the life of the product.

 

I had the same issue with my 09 when I installed my Sony 660bt... Crappy instructions are right!! What fixed mine was, can't for sure remember which way was which first. But I think had the blue remote wire hooked up to the harness, and switched that out for the blue/white trace and it worked, or other way around. Only difference between to two leads is amperage, one is .5 -1.5 the other is 2amps. Our stock amps recuire a bit more amperage to turn on and stay on than most aftermarkets I guess

09 CTD qcsb, parts fell off, some got added, car seat and hot wife mod w/ full wallet delete
