2006 Dodge Ram 3500 - Good Price???

I found my "perfect" 2006 truck:

Ram 3500 - SRW
Fully Loaded Laramie Edition:
Altantic Blue with two-tone Gray Bottom
6 CD Changer
GPS w/Sirius
Power Sunroof
Leather
Bluetooth Hands-Free
ETC,ETC

They are asking $43,800 for it. This does NOT include TAX or other FEES.

Is this a good price???
What do you guys recommend I should offer them?
Is Dodge running a $4,500 Cash Back offer??

If so, that would bring it down to $39,300.00....

When I was looking last year, these threads came up often. I found that the best deals were for ~ 83% of sticker. From what I remember, only the guys who bought from large dealers, like the ones in Texas, did better.

Did you join a farm bureau? This will save you another $500.

How are you guys getting $4000+ in rebates? The last I have heard, the rebate is $3500 now or has it changed in the last week?

Hoping that the rebates are now $4k or better.

Quad Cab or Mega??
Had an 06 mega Laramie, $52,xxx sticker price (there was a dealer markup over that as well). Had the dlr to $40k even on it. They came down pretty easy to my number, too easy. Figured I could do better after they'd been out for a while, so I bought a used Chevy and waiting for a "cheap" Mega Cab.

Also, if you have an occupational license (say you're a consultant, get one from the county for $20) you can get another couple of hundred off as well. As for the farm bureau, you'll have to be a member for I think 30 days before they will give you the discount. Read the fine print. If you are going to order a truck, you vcan join and by the time it arrives, you'll be cleared.

No that is not a good price, if you can be very very patient and take your time you will save alot of money. Go in there and tell your salesman you will pay 37,000 out the door he will probably look at you crazy but just do it and walk out of the dealership and tell him to call you! He will call a few times but not with that price eventually he will come down. And if he dosen't then wait or call me I got mine for 36,000 out the door.
