I paid $27000 for my truck (Below in the Sig) and it had 29,600 miles. I paid about $2000 more then I should have but the truck was local owned by an older gentleman. He did nothing to the truck and all work was done at the local dealer which was a just scheduled maintenance. He wanted to try a Dodge and then decided he wanted another Ford. I looked at a new 07' and 08'. I could get the 07' for $36000 but they were raping me on the trade in plus I think the 04' rode better then the 07'.

The 04' also came with every warranty you could buy from Dodge which made it also apealing. It has a 7/70000 and 100000 on the motor.

Good luck. Just my $.02

Well, I looked at the truck today.Wasn't worth it in my mind. The interior was dirty, the drivers side control panel for the windows/mirrors/locks had a broken clip on it and the mirrors didn't work, plastic intercooler ends, numerous chips, a medium size dent on the rear driver's door, the exhaust was pieced back together, no gauges, cigarette burns on the driver's seat and on and on. They said they would knock it down to 25,400 if they didn't have to do the state inspection on it. No way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow...that doesn't sound like a good deal at all!! On a side note, I put offers in on both a 08 GMC Dmax and a 08 2500 Dodge and they both offered me about 23K for a trade in on my truck (see sig). I want 4x4 but not that bad!!

If I were to sell my truck private party, I would probably ask for around 26-27K and it is in good shape other than a ding in the door. That seems too low but that's what edmunds.com gave me as the price. Sucks for sellers but its good for buyers!

Good that you walked away. I believe that the interior of a car/truck tells how the owner took care of it. The truck I bought looked new inside and not from detailing either becuase I looked at the truck before they cleaned it. Everything on this truck looked like it had been taken care of and I live where they salt the roads and the truck only had the usual surface rust on the axles and drive shaft and no where esle. The truck does not an under coating either. Just my $.02

Good luck.

I found a 2003 3500 6spd with 80,000 miles for 22,500. Do you think that price is high?
