My new to me 2005 SLT truck has the switch on the shifter tow/haul off but I dont see anywhere you can turn the od off? Im thinking i should have the od off for city driving?

I don't know about 05, but I push my two/haul once for tow/haul and twice for OD Off.

Leave it on in the city. The only time I turn mine off is if I'm hauling a big load right around 45 - 50 mph. I don't want it going in and out of OD at that speed.

I bought the BD OD Lockout and installed it on my 2005. Installation was pretty easy and it works good.

No it won't hurt the tranny. You can run with the OD off in town, it would just burn more fuel. Nothing to worry about running OD in town or towing in OD.
