Wexman- In case you are wondering, from the time the truck is loaded onto the boat, until it is unloaded at Baltimore was 12 days in my case. I was in your situation a month ago when I thought my truck was close but hadn't left Vera Cruz. Still waiting
Bad Karma wrote that to me yesterday.

At this point, I have NO clue. That the trucks that had a loaded of 3/2/04 on my dealers Insight list were the ones that arrive on 3/15. That's why I'm thinking that is the "sail" date.

All I know is, I won't see my truck until at least mid April, probably.

i had two trucks "damaged in shipping" (or lost, who knows ) and didnt find out until the 12th week on each one!! I first ordered my truck in august and finally got one in feb. After hearing of the news on the second truck, I searched high and low and found one identical to the one i ordered about an hour away from me. Bought that one on the spot. Great truck, but chrysler needs to improve on shipping

Oh great, just what we wanted to hear.

Were your two (I assume you have a business if you ordered two) among those which supposedly had salt-water damage back in December or something?

Thumbs up Yes!

Just received a call from the dealer with the message, "The eagle has landed."

Ordered on 12.31.03, arrived at dealer on 03.17.04. Interestingly enough, it arrived at the dealer within a few minutes of the time predicted by Insight several days ago.

I am a happy camper. Hope everything works out for you guys.

I'm pretty sure "In bay at facility" means "In parking space on a parking lot" Mine sat there for over a month. It sucks.

Well everything went good on picking up the truck last night. Only problem was that the porter had mounted the front license plate when I requested that it not be. I was a little pi$$ed, so they threw in a billet gas cap. Cool enough.
The truck runs really good, I mean really good. Non of the previously discussed problems with noises, whining, hesitation, etc. This truck rocks!!! Hauls major butt!!! For you guys that are still waiting, it'll be worth the wait. You'll see. I wouldn't have believed it a week ago, you know how it goes.

That's EXACTLY what it means.

I thought that this means the building process. On my 'Status and History' the next thing was JS (Ship to storage). And the next thing after that was KZ (Plant release)

Mine went KZ on 2/18. It was then loaded on a railcar, taken to Vera Cruz, arriving 2/27, where it was "in bay" until it was "loaded on vessel" on 3/15.

Maybe the dockworkers take them for rides?

The history on mine looked like this:
Scheduled for Build (D1) 01-09-04 06:49 AM CST Saltillo Assembly, CU
In Bay At Facility 01-20-04 08:55 PM CST Saltillo Assembly, CU
Ship To Storage (JS) 01-20-04 09:00 PM CST Saltillo Assembly, CU
Plant Release (KZ) 02-09-04 10:54 AM CST Saltillo Assembly, CU
Loaded on Railcar 02-20-04 10:32 AM CST Laredo, TX
Unloaded From Railcar 03-06-04 02:33 PM PST Benicia, CA
VIN Delivery Pickup 03-06-04 06:19 PM PST Benicia, CA
Gate Exit from Facility 03-17-04 07:17 AM PST Benicia, CA

I suppose 'in bay' could mean a parking lot.

Yours stayed at the plant in Saltillo, because it then went by rail. Those of us on the boat get a ride to Vera Cruz first. By mule team, so it would seem.

You did pretty well, about four weeks to ship. I'm at 4 now (since KZ), and it will be another 3-4 before the dealer has it.

Mine looks like this:

Completed Scheduled for Build (D1) 02-05-04 06:53 AM CST Saltillo Assembly, CU
Plant Release (KZ) 02-18-04 05:16 PM CST Saltillo Assembly, CU
Loaded on Railcar 02-23-04 07:36 PM CST Saltillo Assembly, CU
In Bay At Facility 02-27-04 03:00 PM CST Port OF Vera Cruz, VL
Current Vehicles Loaded on Vessel 03-15-04 11:15 AM CST Port OF Vera Cruz, VL
Future Vehicle Delivered to Dealer 03-30-04 01:30 AM EST Jeff D'ambrosio's Dodge, Downingtown

Don't believe the dealer date. It ticks up a day each day. The ship won't even reach port until about the 29th (based upon the rate people have posted here previously). Then, another 1-2 weeks to get to the dealer.

I really wish my truck would come up here via rail. It's currently headed for VeraCruz and I'm able to track its current location through their website. There is even a map showing its current position! Very impressed.

The ship, on the other hand, offers no tracking. It sort of sails off into the fog and mysteriously lands in Baltimore…..2 weeks later! (That is if I'm lucky)
