Question 2004.5 Dodge 2500 seats

Going to be buying a new truck with a cummins engine , does the leather seat hold up well or should I get the cloth seats, planning on keeping the truck 8 years. Thanks

BIG QUESTION , Cloth is less sticky in sweaty times and is more forgiving of a nice screwdriver punch or forgot about pen in the **** pocket, and a little less warm-up(pucker factor) time is needed in freezing weather. Aftermarket covers are avail. in every want, even heaters. In my opinion I'd get the leather and a set of front seat cover that are easy to get on and off for grubby times. My 2 cents. Yea,the leather holds up quite well, but the heaters can fail if handled rough.Check them good before the warranty runs out.Replaced two in a Grande Cherokee drivers seat.

I have had both cloth and leather in various vehicles over the years. When I asked my wife what she wanted preferred for the truck there was no hesitation. She opted for the premium cloth seats. Her car has leather seats and they are hot in summer and freeze your you know whats in winter, or at least until the heater has time to kick in. I too prefer the cloth over the leather. Remember too that the so called leather option in the Dodge truck only has leather in a few places. The rest may look like leather but it is fake. So you end up paying a lot for a little.

I also went with the premium cloth. Don't have to worry about it being too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. Nor is there anymore electronic stuff like heaters to worry about.

I also orderer premium cloth. Have leather on my current ride - but not heated - talk about pucker factor when cold.

Had cloth on my 97 Ram, and am going back.

Same here guys. We have a '02 Buick Park Avenue with power recliners and heated seats (seat backs and cushions). The leather is seating-surfaces only (smooth leather not suede). I'm not throwing stones here, the leather is soft, supple and everything Buick claims them to be. The heaters work great (two temp settings) but only when you remember to turn them on and let them warm up for 10 minutes before driving. My complaint is when a trip takes an hour or more, the fanny goes to sleep. I'm not trying to be funny here. A little sweat and honestly, the tingling begins. It's not at all like that going-to-sleep feeling you get when the circulation stops. It's the feeling you get when you continue to work in your wet clothes when your saturated to your underwear kind of tingling. We got our truck with the Premium Cloth, and almost everytime the wife gets in it she says, "I love these seats". Neither of us plan to buy leather surfaces again.
