2002 2500 Service Manual

Could someone tell me the best service manual for the 2002 2500 2WD. I previously had a the D/C manual for an older truck and loved it and I would like to do the same for my new cummins. Any part #'s would be great. Where is the best place to get it? Thanks for the help

The dealer will have the &quot;best&quot; one and the most expensive. I recently bought a Haynes manual at Auto Zone (the only thing I'd buy there) and it has very thorough detailed instructions....$14.95<br><br>Sned.

Re:2002 2500 Service Manual

Best place that I've found is eBay:

2003 Manual on CD-ROM:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=34218

2002 Manual on CD-ROM:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2413162565

The manual is identical to the CD-ROM and printed manuals that come from Tech Authority. Not sure how &quot;legal&quot; this seller is, but you can't beat his price!

The CD's on eBay could be legit if he is buying them from others and reselling them. From the feedback, he is both a buyer and a seller. He might, of course, be buying a single copy of the manuals and selling duplicates of them.

Since those CD's cover the 1500's, as well as the 2500's and 3500's, how much Diesel specific stuff do they contain?<br><br>(especially since the 2002 1500's are 3rd gen and the real trucks are 2nd gens)<br><br><br>phox

Re:2002 2500 Service Manual

I have always used a hard copy and never the CD. I just dont think it would be the same to be scrolling down my computer screen with greasy hands as it is flipping pages on book that is under the hood. I just dont know how practical the CD is for me. I know some people use the the DC manual for everything but the engine and they get a Cummins manual for engine work

The manual is huge with a total of 2,895 pages (for the 2003). All engines are covered in the manual with just over 70 pages specific to the 5.9L Cummins diesel. The CD-ROM is handy because you can print only the pages that you need, get them as dirty as you want, and then toss them out when you're finished.

I have the tool for viewing CDs in the &quot;reading room&quot;. It's call a laptop! ;D<br> I like having the manual on a CD. Just print what you need and toss when finished.<br><br>MikeyB

Re:2002 2500 Service Manual

How can the 2002 CD on Ebay cover 1500s and the 3500s and 2500s when the 1500s were totally changed in 02 and the 2500 and 3500s were not until 03? And the picture shows the new style.<br><br>Something doesn't sound right there!

Re:2002 2500 Service Manual

You can have multiple on the same CD. Ferd had/has F150 and F250/350 on the same disc and they were different body styles, engines etc. First year manuals were not accurate usually, many updates were done to them. We would get new CD's every month. Lots of the techs would sell the old ones on Ebay..I hated using the CD system, always bought my own printed versions. A whole set for a whole year was very expensive...
