12v outlet in console?

My truck has a block off plate over the spot where a 12v power outlet would be in the console.
Has anyone tried to hook one up that didn't have one from the factory?
I couldn't figure out how to take the console apart to get to the inside.
Is any of the factory wiring in there or would I have to supply it there
from the dash board? Any info would be greatly apperciated.
Jim

Are you talking about the inset below the ash tray? Do you have the foldout cup holder and ash try?

I will look at the DR manual tonight and find out the instructions on removal and install of the power outlet.

I have "3" 12v power outlet.
One on the dash next to the RB1
One at floor level just under the ash tray and one in side the middle console.
They all work.

It sounds like he wants to install a 12v outlet, not find out who has them. Interested in this post aswell. Seat console doesnt have an outlet in it, but want to install one without major issues. If its available in laramie, and premium seats (or used to be)...cant be too difficult to obtain for the "stock trim level " package.

Same here, although I hooked up my cb to that one, since it's unswitched.

Truckjerk is correct. I want to hook up the outlet that could have came inside my console. It would be nice to have one extra one inside the console. I was wondering how to get the console apart and where to find the wiring if it is even there. The block off plate is there. My truck has all the other one's on the dash.
Thanks guys, Jim

It's too bad Dodge doesn't have a 110 V outlet like on the new Tacoma.

I believe that the 12v outlet in the center console is included with one of the interior/seat options. Not sure exactly which combo. I believe that you need the powered driver side seat to have the wiring harness available to just plug into. The manual shows the wiring harness going to the Center Seatback from the Powered Drivers side harness. This harness is powered all the time. Looking at the manual if you dont already have a powered harness coming out under the drivers side seat to plug into, it will be a major PITA to hook one up.
