'06 Woodgrain and another Q

Can anyone identify the woodgrain in these '06 trucks? There's pics in my gallery....Im thinking of making a console, would be nice if I could get the finish to match the dash Think I could stain red oak to match?? I just happen to have some available...

Also...About brake controllers....Would it be ok to lengthen the wires on the factory pigtail?? Im thinkin about puttin the BC in this console, instead of in the typical spot under the wheel....

I do some woodworking tinkering and it reminds me of a Quilted Sapele. You can do a search on Ebay for "quilted sapele" and will generally find some, though pretty pricey.

Here is a link to give you an idea of what the grain pattern will be like.

That does look pretty close I dont really care about matching the grain, but I'd like to get the color close....

I was wonder about that, but most I see are mounted vertically on the knee bolster....I am leaning heavily to Jordan anyway, so That will likely limit my ability to mount it...

My main reason for this is mounting a CB and possibly something new with my ipod...Thinkin about cup holder too....Still kickin this around...

The Prodigy Brake Controller can be mounted at up to a 70 degree angle. Mine is on the knee bolster and sits at a pretty steep angle. Oh and works great too.

I mounted mine right here in the console. Is this where you were thinking about mounting yours?? If so, I didn't need to lengthen the pigtail at all. There's a handy spot in the left corner up inside the console where you can run the wire, then there's plenty room to run it over to the factory plug by the E-brake. Works great and real easy to get to when I need it in a hurry!!

Thats REALLY close...My floor is open, no shifter or tray, and I have the fold-down cupholders...My stuff would be mounted in the box very similar to that...

Im thinkin CB, BC, GPS, Ipod, and possibly a Quad Commander in the future...Along with new cupholders....

Good pic.....Thanx
