06 Ram front end...

Just curious what you guys think of the new front end on the 2006 Ram? So far I don't think I will like it as I don't like it on the Durango but maybe it will look a little better in person, I dunno.

Nevermind, And what happened to the 6.?L Hemi? Why no long bed mega- cabs for those of us in Texas? That front end is going to have to grow on me, way to much like their little bitty trucks.

I just saw the pix too. UGH. Man, they just ruined the best looking truck on the market. Not only is the new front end BUTT UGLY, the "mega cab" isn't too pretty either.

*sigh*

I just don't get it, they just updated a few years ago and it looked great.

once i get past the headlights, i think i'll like them.... its already growing on me

it's probably just the pic but it looks like the front end sits higher.... by the look of the spacing between the wheel and fender...

Why do these folks have to gussie the trucks up adding more chrome, sticking on more badges along with other meaningless dude engineering "styling" changes.

When truck manufacturers put turn signals in the TT towing mirrors, I knew it was time for a change.

the pic of the black one at the auto show on that link doesn't look goofy like the one above. it looks as though it is missing the nissan frontier rip-off front end.

I can live with the grill, but the head-lights will take some getting used to. Spoils the line of the fender IMO....But I'm sure after a year or so I'll like them too!

IMO, it's not as FUGLY as the new Durango/Dakota, but it isn't far off either... a step in the wrong direction if you ask me. I like the looks of the current model better, but maybe they did it to give it headlights that actually light up the road at night!!

Finally !!!

looks like i am in the minority on this one but had they not changed i would not have replaced mine . they have been looking like the front end came off a van for the past few years.
was hoping for the concept power wagon but this is a compromise i will be able to live with

These days more headlight power and coverage is always an improvement.

Never seem to get the power lamps we used to get way back then.

It's the headlights that spoil it for me, I really like the current ones, someone should do a photo chop and make it a sport model, all red grille and bumper maybe it will look better.
