06 mega with 140k loaded or 07 mega with 92k slt

So I'm trying to decide on a truck here quick and honestly can't and pet need to hear from some 6.7 drivers that had 5.9. Now I have a 06 loaded leather nav subroof DVD. Everything for the same price as a 07 6.7 slt. Ice wanted the 6.7 for a while now as I have the 04 and know they are fine. But haven't towed with a 6.7 yet. Is the engine. Engine brake. And 6 sod trans really worth it? I tow a 30 dt 5th wheel and horse trailer. My current truck does very well! Just looking for a tie breaker decision as I'm not sure!

I'd go with the 6.7, you'll love the motor, trans and exhaust brake. Make sure you get the latest flash and then if you can, do the deletes and don't look back.

Yah maybe I didn't come across clear after 122 views and 2 replies ha ha. The question is for those with both engine options. If tomorrow you were buying a truck. Would you buy a 06 fully and I mean fully loaded with 140k or a 6.7 auto slt. Mild loaded. With just shy of 100 on clock. Didn't know if the new setup was worth the less features. Both under 20k cash

I have not driven a 6.7 but have heard good things. That said, if both are in good condition and you would be happy with both, I would go with the 06 Mega just because of the 5.9

I tick under $20k for the 6.7 will be 0.K at 100k. Did you already work him on the price or is this asking?

The 5.9 is a good rig, and the loaded part is the only way to go, however to step into a 140k truck is risky. If you buy it right $14k-$15k you'll have gotten it cheap enough to fix anything that might be worn or broken.

You will have to spend less money on the 6.7 as far as the tranny and exhaust brake. The 48re you will have to spend some money on and add the exhaust brake. With the 6.7 at 92,000 I would do the deletes for sure and add a Smarty ME. I would get the 6.7, it's gonna tow awesome right out of the box with the 6 speed auto.
