06 To many problems, Gotta go

I know not all 06's are bad. But the one I happened to get is horrible. Nothing but problems. At 3,000 miles the tranny went out, a few miles later the bearing on the out-put shaft went bad. Gear selector lever kept getting hung up in reverse. Check engine light has come on.... I can't even remember the amount of times it has been on to many to count. It is a lemon and currently went back to the shop again for the same problem. I am currently getting my paper work together and getting an attorney. I have to deal with California attorney cause I bought the truck there, while stationed there. I just got stationed in Pa. That's the route I got to take. Contacted DC today also and informed them my truck is in the shop...again. This guy was rude as can be. Asked me what he wanted him to do about it, unreal. So what ever the outcome, I'm hopeing for a buy back or swap out trucks for another. If things don't work out, I'm eventually gonna trade that thing in. I know it will hit me in my pocket. What happened to cutomer service? Just venting. Keep me motivated to stick with the dodge cummins

Document everything, every call with name, date, etc. Don't throw anything away. Keep calling DC, dealer, whoever until they make good.

Sorry this is happening, will be praying for you and the situation. Hopefully DC will make good and take care of you.

Keep us posted.

Check out the lemon law in both CA and PA. ANd Document everything. Missouri lemon law kicks in after 3 incidents in 6 months. Be aggresive with DC.

Document everything like they said, but make sure you get an attorney that actually has experience with this type of thing.

carpenterje,
Sorry about the truck woes. Hopefully all works out. My folks live up in Willow Grove. I was born in Philly and moved there later in life. Haven't been there in a couple years but plan on heading up over the Christmas holidays. Is your truck at the dealer in Hatboro? They are/use to be a quality dealer with a good diesel tech. Haven't been there for some time so things may have changed. Good luck.

I went through the arbitration process and won. Make sure you have all the paperwork and times and dates in the shop{there is a minimum} I was able to order a new truck with any options I wanted

My brother had the same thing happen to him when he had his 03 PSD. Keep all information pertaining to the truck. then if you know anyone that is personally a firend of yours that is a diesel tech and ASE certified, have them go with you the next time it goes in.

My dad had to go in and chew out the service manager. My dad has over 30 years mechanical experience and is a master ASE tech for FEDEX, while my brother is a Master ASE diesel tech for FEDEX also. they treated both of them like they didnt know what they were talking about. then once the lemon law was told to the dealer they started to cooperate a little. he eventually traded it in but by that time the only good part on the tyruck was the engine and body. Rear was shot tranny was shot. but if you can make sure that you have everything documented and have a lawyer go over it with you and nail em cuz we as consumers shouldnt have to go through all these loop holes.

If you are looking for a new truck check out Woodhouse. www.Woodhouse.com.
they are out of Nebraska but im pretty sure they would work with you. my brother saved like 15,000 on his new truck and they gave him top dollar for his trade in. cuz whne we went out to pick up his new truck they literally had about 10 acres of FOrds and about 5 acres of Dodges. i have never seen so many trucks in my life. Good luck and i hope it all works out for you.
