06 3500 Incoming air

Ok - Strange situation.. I've always thought there was a draft inside my cab even with the vent's of. The other day - heading our fishing with my bro, he says his knees are cold.. (he's 6ft 6) - No vents on no nothing - so I turn on the heat.. Seems like there is a draft coming in from the outside of the vehicle right where the glove box is.. Anyone experienced this..? I haven't torn in to the dash yet..

My buddy mentioned something similar.

Not sure where to start digging, though.

I would bet the recirculation door has broken.

Remove the glove box by pulling the back corners in as you tip it out.

You will then be looking at the in-cab intake grille. If it is set on fresh air, you should see the tanish plastic door blocking the grille. In the recirculate mode, the door flips up to block the passage to the intake grille ahead of the windshield.

My guess is that it is flopping around broken, letting in outside air all the time, regardless of what the mode doors are set to.

I can't comment on straight line driving, but whenever I make a left in every Dodge or Jeep I've owned since 2002 I feel a cold draft coming from the Passenger side.
