'05 OEM 6-changer and dash rattle

I just picked up a used '05 2500 Laramie that has the OEM in-dash 6-changer stereo. When I turn the key to the "Run" position, I hear the changer making noise, like something is moving inside it and when I shut the truck off, it makes the same sound. It's almost sounds like the rack that loads the CDs is moving everytime power is applied or taken away from the stereo. Is this normal? I only ask because my '04 with the 6-changer didn't do this.

Thanks
Ryan

Also, when I drive over ripples and bumps in the road, I hear this "tinny" noise coming from behind the stereo, under the dash cover. This noise can be reproduced by lightly smacking the top of the dash. Any ideas what it might be?

The only time I get that noise is after I disconnect the batteries. I wonder if there is a broken wire related to the power sensing. Also, maybe some loose hardware. It's easy to get to the radio on 03/04s. Remove screw from hanger hook and pull out panel.
