'05 front on an '06

I'm thinking about it, I just don't like the headlight/fender combination on my '06. Has anyone else thought about this? It looks like a new fascia would be needed (I'm thinking aftermarket bumper) and new fenders and headlights. The grill looks to be the same both years.

the grille is not the same and from what I've heard the '06 has better headlights. I've heard a lot of complaints about the '03-'05 headlights not being bright enough which is probably why the '06 lights were redesigned. I didn't like the front end at first but now I think they look better than the older trucks.

The headlights on those years are worse than '06 models!?

If you can find a front clip from a '03 to '05 it is just a simple bolt on. The only thing you can really swap from the one style to the next is the hood.

yep the 05 lighting sucks compared to the 06/07.my 07 without the fog lights on are 2x brighter than my 05 with the fogs on. i think i'm gonna get the lights taken apart and have part of the chrome paintmatched to blend it in a little better though.

I have an '06 Laramie bumper sitting in my carport looking for a new home. It's a start on collecting parts.

I like the '06 front end. Out of them all it's the best.
