05 2500 w/ 11.5 rear end?

I just remembered looking at the truck, and seeing it had an 11.5" rear end on a 2500, when the other 4x4 2500's said nothing on the sticker? According to dodge's site, 2500s come with the 10.5 rear end, and the 3500's with the 11.5. Why would this 05 2500 be the only one at the lot that had a 11.5 rear end? Could the sticker be wrong?

All diesel equipped 2500s have the 11.5 inch rear differential.

one is the 3.73 axle and the other is 4.10 axle 10.5/11.5. Just look in the glove box of the vehicle, it'll state on the sticker.

Hmm, so only the 11.5" has 4.10's? It said on the sticker 11.5, and since it didn't show gear ratio I assumed it was 3.73's. Sorry for this lame post, but I'm going to be getting this truck Monday and don't want to make a mistake worth a few thousand based on the fact I didn't want to ask a stupid question.

The ratios whether 3:73s or 4:10s have nothing to do with the size of the carrier i.e ring gear diameter. All are 11.5 for the diesel. At least thats my understanding.

Buzzer, Might be right about all the Diesels having the 11.5 rear...but I think, and don't quote me...the 6spds have the 11.5 rear and the automatics come with the 10.5 rear...LOOK in the GLOVE BOX....it'll tell you

Ok, just walked outside and opened glove box

Codes:

DJQ Front Axle 9.25
DMW Axle Ratio 3.73
DRQ Axle Rear 11.50
DSA Anti-Spin Differential

11.5 is an option. My 04 HO with 3.73 is a 11.5. I think you see the 11.5 rear more in the HO than the SO.

Wasn't an option when I bought my 4.5. I was told all HO's came with the 11.5 ring gear. I know I didn't have to order it.

Pretty sure Rossn2 is right..... The 11.5 is on 2500's with a 6-spd, the autos have the 10.5... regardless of axel ratio....

Is it an S/O or H/O ? Most likely it's an S/O if it has a 10.50 rear axle.
To my knowledge, all trucks w/HO (305/555 or 325/600 or 325/610) will all be equipped with an 11.50" rear axle, regardless if auto or six speed.
