'04 Radio for sale anyone?
I'd like to upgrade the standard CD only radio in my '04 to the cd & cassette radio. Anyone have one they took out they'd sell? I've looked on eBay, but don't want to pay that much.
TIA

Cirus, when I get a replacement with cd/cassette, I'll let you know.
drno, thanks but we want one with both. We like to listen to books on tape while traveling. Hard to do with no tape player. Some are out on cd. Most still cassette.

CIRUS I have the cd radio and--- drno I want your 6/changer radio.
Lets all get together and save shipping and work out a price?
My truck came with the 6 changer and original owner changed it out to a single??
Mine is an 03 laramie so all should be compatable.

Cirus & DRNO
I have no idea how much to ask for mine or offer for yours. I have not looked for a price anywhere.
Asking both of you- - - a 6 changer has got to be worth more than a single, right?
The single has the controls for an added unit elsewhere in the truck, so both have thier plusses.
What it boils down to is that I am going to be paying the difference between what Cirus is willing to pay for mine and what DRNO wants for his.
Somebody besides me has to come up with a starting point$$
You can both email me at domeking@direcway.com
We can do a paypal direct payment and a direct ship to Cirus and myself.
Thanks

FWIW, here's a ball park from a dis-interested party
stock CD players usually go for $100 on most forums i have been on.
I'd say the 6 disc chgr is worth $200, maybe 225 if it has RDS and other bells and whistles.
and the Cd/Cass prolly $125~, because it has RDS (will show text when radio stations transmit it) and the cassette.
My church records the sermons on cassette, so there is some use for them.
that Navigation radio is hard to figure. I say one advertised for new price ($1400?)on another forum, but no one had offered to buy it.
does that help, or was I too low?

Take the screw out that is adjacent to the garbage bag hook. Then just pull the entire piece off. You will have a couple of wires hanging for lighter, etc, but you don't need to take those off. Four Phillips screws, one at each corner of the radio, an antennae lead and a big electrical plug, Both pull right out. It took me maybe 10 minutes to swap out the cd only to cd/cassette. Five minutes next time. Nothing to it. Reassemble in reverse order.
