Guess I should feel lucky... I called Chrysler on Monday
and they said I'm in D1 status (ordered 9/26) and the truck
is scheduled to ship to the dealer by rail on 10/14. That
seems blindingly fast compared to some of what I'm reading
on this forum...

I'm not putting too much stock in the 10/14 ship date, but
we do seem to be at D1 much quicker than I expected. Will
bug them again later this week to see if they actually started
building it yet.

SUrprisingly, the rep from DC called today, as he promised monday, and gave me an update. Unfortunately, it's still sitting in saltillo, waiting on a railcar! He expects it may leave by friday but isn't making promises. He said he'd call friday with an update. ARGHHH :'(

I called my dealer today to get an update. He said that as of yesterday my truck listed as making the second rail transfer . He expects the truck to show up anyday now. I ordered on 9-4. Black 04

Forgot to add this. My dealer also said that Dodge is changing it's rebates again. I will get the $2500 and probably get the low interest rate too! It just keeps getting better. Black 04

Crabjoe, any updates?

Mine is being switched from Union Pacific to Norfolk Southern rail company tomorrow in New Orleans, it's currently in Livonia LA. Then it goes to winston-salem, which is about an hour from my dealer. The worst part is that I got a schedule from my dealer and it shows that my truck will arrive in winston-salem on 10-18, and won't be delivered until 10-28!!! When I asked what could possibly take them so long to move the truck one hour away, they replied that the trucking company in w/s only has 8 trucks, that hold 8 vehicles, and it's a first come first serve delivery. Arrghhh, I will be in winston salem 10/22, and would love to just drive the truck home then. Unfortunately it looks like a plane ticket up there just a few days later. :'(

My dealer called the trucking company and they put it on the truck the next day. Your dealer should make a phone call for you and get it delivered ASAP.

Thanks C5 - I just copied your post and sent it to my salesman, asking to see if there was anything he could do. We'll see if anything happens. If the truck reaches w/s 10-18, I dont see why they couldn't have it by 10-21 or 22 when I will be in town. Otherwise I may not have a free weekend till nov 15th to get it, and that will make me :'( and

The only update I have is that DCX is screwed up! I called them again on Friday and this time their rep tells me my order is in KZ status. I tell him that it was in KZM b4, and he says he can see that but now it's showing KZ. What a mess! I then asked this rep to check the other screens and he says they all show KZ and to contact my dealer for an update as they can't help me more then to tell me what the status they see on their screens. Well, I stopped by my dealer Saturday afternoon and the sales guy tells me without checking that the truck is on a boat as he had checked it a couple days ago. I asked him for a print out and he brushed me off and said he had 3 other customers waiting and he would call me with an update on Monday. I'll see if he calls me and if not, I might start looking for one already on someone's lot and cancel with him as he just ****** me off.

The only thing I got going on this order so far is that I just checked their inventory on the Dodge.com site and my order is appearing. Atleast now I know for sure it was built. LOL

Crabjoe - since you have reached KZ status, get DC to give you the railcar number or some sort of tracking info. They werent able to give it to me instantly, but the DC CSR did call me back twice with updates, finally with the railcar number etc. I haven't called DC since, just have been checking with the freight company.

My dealer sent me a copy of the 'vehicle shipment and delivery status' sheet. It apparently was processed by a company called 'Insight Network Logistics'. Anyway it looks something like this - see pic.

Crabjoe - not sure what that first sentence means, it doesn't seem to make much sense. Hopefully you are saying that I somehow helped! Looks like from your post though that you have a good grasp of where your truck is now. 8)
